PETERSEN MEDIA: Heading east over the weekend to battle the vaunted PA Posse, Parker Price-Miller and the Destiny Motorsports team had a strong showing that saw PPM finish seventh at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.
“Pennsylvania is somewhere I have struggled at the last couple of years, so it was good to get an opportunity to get out there and make some laps,” Parker Price-Miller said. “I struggled a little on Friday and the Grove, but felt like I got better as the night went and Saturday we were really fast and came home with another pretty good finish.”
With a draw show format in place on Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, Price-Miller would admittedly make a mistake in his heat race and it would force the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety No. 4 machine into the ‘B’ Main.
Lining up fifth in the semi, PPM would make some quick moves around the ½ mile speedway as he would race his way into third and move into the feature event where he would line up in the 21st starting position.
In the back of the pack, a rocky start to the race by others saw the Kokomo, IN driver avoid a couple of near disasters as he was able to pick up a few ‘give me’ spots early. Once the race settled in, Price-Miller was able to turn in some very nice laps on a track that has been a problem child to him in the past as he navigated his way to a seventh place finish.
Traveling to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, Price-Miller would go out last in qualifying time trials and still managed to time the Agee Farms/CSI Race Shocks/Triple X backed entry in seventh quickest on a surface that was pretty slick.
Lining up second in his heat race, ‘The Law Firm’ would hold strong a finish second moving him directly into the feature event where he would roll off the grid from the seventh starting position.
When the green lights flashed on in the ‘A’, PPM would get off to a slow start as he would slip back as far as the 11th position. Making an adjustment to his wing, Price-Miller would come to life, as he was able to change his line and find some speed as the race moved along.
Charging the corners a little harder lap after lap, PPM would recover from his slow start and bring the Destiny Motorsports machine up with another seventh place finish.
“I got more comfortable at both tracks over the weekend, which is what our main goal was,” Parker Price-Miller said. “After some downtime if felt great to get back in the car and get to work. I have to thank my guys for all of their efforts, as well as Rick and Barb Rogers for letting us find a place to race.”
